OLD GUARD - NEW GUARD
Bad News vs Good News

Go to any news venue and you'll see negative stories reflecting a view of the general society and in particular multicultural people. However, we believe in sharing the great things people are doing. We showcase encouraging news about people from different cultural backrounds and encourage cultural expression by our students. From our perspective, there so is much more to any local to global region. when you explore the insights, sophistication and charactaristics of its ethnic inhabitants.

POSITIONING STEAM & CULTURE IN TOURISM
To Foster Human Capital & Neighborhood Development
Creative industries like STEAM (science, technology, engineering, art and math) include advertising, entertainment, information production, technology and media to bring together creative thinking, capital, research and development funds. In many larger cities there are also benchmark academic entitlemtents for those poised to broaden their knowledge and competitiveness toward participation in ground-breaking national and regional investments in the Web, Blue and Green industries of knowledge work and innovation.

Nevertheless, there are gaps in the informaton loops that invite discussion and actionable collaboration toward solutions. Given the global nature being infused in all cities, regardless of size, community residents must take deliberate meticulous, careful, painstaking and particularlt conscientious application to the work of preparing and positioning residents to participate in the economic opportunities coming every three to five years.

For all of us, economic opportunities include using web and digital media technologies and applications to showcase cultural community assets. Across the United States, there is a tremendous migratory student body. Opportunities for tourism, financial investments, web careers, blue & green industries, healthcare, growth in human services and entertainment industries serving old and new populations can bring considerable income for those who are prepared.

However, If long term residents in migratory neighborhoods aren't connected to their city's streams of economic growth, education and other activities that foster neighborhood economic development, then their communities suffer. Further, if we can't open discussions and employ equitable development across sectors, then disconneted cities will lag behind.

Great movements are abound - people who work in the fields of social services, elder care, child care, sports services, education, professional training, health care as well as those who work with socially responsible companies are breaking new ground; and those inspiring stories will be shared here - stay tuned!
